Random Thoughts…02022012
Last week’s meeting took us away from our usual weekly venue so we can be with our adopted school, the San Juan National High School. We were joined by the officers of the Interact Club of San Juan National High School together with their adviser. I counted about ten members from our club who were present for the meeting including PP Tito Mabanta who was accompanied by his entourage. Coming from a business meeting, PP Tony Abola caught up with us just as we were about to leave the school premises. We were also informed that PP Dondo Lim was at Club Filipino.
After the meeting proper, we went around the school to take pictures of the library whose Internet connectivity is provided by our club, the cold drinking water fountain (also provided by our club), and the refurbished Rotary Seal and Four Way Test engraved in granite slab in front of the school. Across the school is the newly constructed City Hall of San Juan, a majestic white building with some touches of Spanish architectural design.
Posted at last week’s bulletin were reports from Pres. Nan and Sec. Gina about the just concluded Mid-Year Review. Our Club continues to lead the San Juan Zone in terms of the following categories: Total TRF Contributions (3rd overall); Per Capita contribution (2nd overall); and attendance (5th overall).
Cheers and enjoy RotaryJ
